Series 4 : Landscapes
What does it mean to advance the history of art with landscape painting? or painting for that matter. John Baldessari posed that question to me in 1988 after studying under him. These works have been impacted with those words to challenge this vision.
Landscapes, geography, exploration, the enlightenment of man, the vision of god - these are the subject matter - As far back to the finger tips holding a brush that paint my journey and leave these master works for time to reflect its gaze upon.
As a barometer of society my history, discovery are visual symbolic records displaced here to be questioned, comforted, for the advancement of humankind.
